Over the recent years, home prices in Kansas city have risen dramatically. Data from the Kansas City Regional Association of Realtors indicates that average home prices have increased about 4.6% over the last year, with the average days that a home is on the market dropping by 4.8%. The average price of a home in Kansas City in November of 2018 was $219,315, but it rose to $229,306 this November 2019. Source

Kansas City homes are becoming less common and more expensive, with most people resorting to putting in offers for a home that go over the asking price; anything to sweeten the deal. As the Kansas City Metro area expands, homes in desirable neighborhoods will become more and more difficult to get ahold of.
