Project Manager

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee Project Lifecycle: Manage each phase from start to finish, keeping projects on schedule, within budget, and up to quality standards.
  • Manage Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates and guidance throughout the construction process.
  • Coordinate with Stakeholders: Work directly with inspectors, vendors, and internal teams, adjusting schedules and targets as needed.
  • Identify and Manage Risks: Anticipate project risks and resolve issues to prevent delays or cost overruns.
  • Ensure Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks to meet company and client expectations.
  • Lead the Team: Direct and motivate internal and external team members, including assistant Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and trade partners, to complete tasks on time and effectively.
  • Take on additional tasks as assigned.

About You:

  • Experienced in Construction: You have a degree in construction management (or equivalent experience) and a solid background in residential construction, including blueprint reading.
  • Client-Focused Communicator: Skilled in keeping clients informed and addressing their concerns clearly.
  • Decisive and Solution-Oriented: Able to make timely decisions that keep projects on track.
  • Strong Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage and delegate effectively.
  • Organized with Risk Management Skills: Skilled in budgeting, prioritizing, and managing risks.

Warranty Technician

What You’ll Do:
•    Perform Warranty Repairs: Handle punch lists, warranty service calls, and minor repairs to ensure client satisfaction and uphold Starr Homes' quality standards.
•    Hands-On Problem Solving: Roll up your sleeves to tackle a variety of field tasks, from finish carpentry to small repairs and adjustments.
•    Quality Assurance Inspections: Complete final QA walkthroughs to catch details before clients move in and provide feedback to the build team.
•    Client-Facing Service: Serve as a friendly, professional point of contact for homeowners post-closing, ensuring a smooth experience and addressing any concerns.
•    Investigate and Prevent Issues: Identify root causes of problems to determine responsibility, ensuring the company avoids costs tied to trade errors or warranty exclusions.
•    Coordinate and Hold Trades Accountable: Work directly with trade partners to schedule repairs, enforce standards, and confirm timely completion of work.
•    Protect Client Homes: Take steps to protect finished homes and client belongings while performing work.
•    Collaborate with Team: Communicate effectively with the warranty coordinator, project managers, and trade partners to schedule and complete work.
•    Document and Track Work: Maintain clear documentation of service items, responsible parties, and completed work through Buildertrend or other tracking systems.
•    Take on additional tasks as assigned.

About You:
•    Warranty/Renovation Experience: You have experience in warranty service, remodeling, or related trades, with a strong knowledge of residential construction.
•    Hands-On and Skilled: Comfortable performing a variety of finish-level tasks, including minor carpentry, drywall, painting, and hardware adjustments.
•    Detail-Oriented Investigator: You take pride in identifying the root cause of issues, holding trade partners accountable, and protecting the company’s bottom line.
•    Client-Focused: Skilled at working directly with homeowners, making them feel valued, heard, and supported.
•    Protective of Client Spaces: You take care to protect client belongings and homes while performing repairs or walkthroughs.
•    Organized and Reliable: Able to prioritize, schedule, and complete tasks efficiently.
•    Proficient with Technology: Familiarity with Buildertrend, mobile apps, email, and photo documentation.
•    Independent and Team-Oriented: Comfortable working independently in the field while staying connected to the team.

Warranty Coordinator

What You’ll Do:


•   

 Be the First Point of Contact:

Receive and document all incoming warranty requests, ensuring a friendly and professional client experience.


•   

 Schedule and Dispatch:

Coordinate the daily and weekly schedules of warranty technicians, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and impact.


    Communicate with Clients:

Keep homeowners informed on timelines, next steps, and expectations for their service appointments.


•    

Coordinate with Trades:

Contact trade partners as needed, schedule repairs, and ensure follow-through on commitments.


•    

Prioritize Efficiently:

Use judgment and company standards to determine urgency levels and allocate resources accordingly.


•  

  Track and Document Work:

Maintain detailed records of all requests, service calls, responsible parties, and completion status in Buildertrend or other systems.


•   

 Support Warranty Operations:

Partner with field technicians, project managers, and leadership to create a seamless client experience.


    Assist with Continuous Improvement:

Provide feedback to improve warranty processes, communication, and scheduling efficiency.


•    Take on additional tasks as assigned.
