At Starr Homes, we believe in building more than just houses, we build communities. That’s why we are proud to partner with the 141 Home Project, an incredible initiative that helps provide safe, sustainable, and affordable homes to families in need around the world.

As a builder partner of the 141 project, for every home we build, a home is donated to a family in need in one of the sustainable partner communities across the globe. This meaningful initiative ensures that with every home we create, we’re not only helping our clients enjoy a beautiful home but also providing a family somewhere else with the gift of a safe, sustainable place to live.

One of our donated homes form this year was given to a couple and their children, Rudy and Vilma, they lived for years in a single room made of tin sheets with a dirt floor, a space that served as both their kitchen and bedroom. When it rained, water would pour through the gaps in the roof and walls. Despite Rudy and their son Wilson working long hours in the fields for just $8 a day, and Vilma making and selling tortillas to help provide for their children, building a safe home felt out of reach.

But today, that has changed.

Thanks to the 141 Project and partners like Starr Homes, Rudy and Vilma’s family now lives in their first cinder block home. For the first time, they have a solid roof over their heads, sturdy walls around them, and a safe space to raise their children. This isn’t just a house, it’s a fresh start, a place where their family can grow and dream, protected from the elements and surrounded by hope.

We’re excited about the continued impact we can make with the 141 Home Project and look forward to continuing our work to build a brighter, more sustainable future for families worldwide.
